A Halloween match, a whole lot of texting, and a street corner in Salt Lake City. Here's how it happened.

The Match
We matched on Mutual on Halloween, which felt fitting. For the next two and a half weeks we just texted. A lot. Neither of us was in a rush, but we also couldn't really stop.

The First Date
We met on a street corner in Salt Lake City and walked into Quarters Arcade. A few hours and a lot of games later, neither of us wanted to call it a night. That was pretty much all the information we needed.

Official
Four dates in, we made it official. It had been five weeks since we matched. We both knew, so we stopped pretending we didn't.

Engaged
Evan asked, Mer said yes. A year and a half in, with a lot of good memories and a few hard ones behind us, it felt like the easiest decision either of us had ever made. Now we're just trying to plan a wedding.
